Mildura uses four waste streams
The household service separates red-lid general rubbish, yellow-lid mixed recycling, green-lid food and garden organics, and purple-lid glass recycling.

Mildura household bin help
Use your street address for the collection attached to your property in Mildura Rural City. A postcode alone covers more than one collection route and is not enough to choose a bin day.
For waste too large for a kerbside bin, check the council's landfill and transfer-station page for the appropriate site and current conditions.
Glass and hazardous items are exceptions
Put lightly rinsed glass bottles and jars loose in the purple bin, not the yellow bin. Batteries, e-waste, chemicals, hazardous waste, ash, soil and building waste do not belong in any kerbside bin.
